What Makes Candy Different?

Some clients have told Candy they can’t believe she got “certain people” to participate because they usually never talk! Candy customizes each event by spending time to get to know you and your participants before the event. She will even produce a 2 minute customized video promoting YOUR event! She is the real deal on and off the stage. From the time you visit with her about your event or take her pre-conference survey, until you receive your special thank you surprise…Candy is as down-to-earth as they come!  What does Candy need to know waaaaay before the event?

The best thing to do is have a conversation with Candy about the goals for the meeting. She likes to know the ins and outs of your event such as:

  • What to say and what NOT to say…
  • Is there a theme for the event?
  • Do we have folks with special needs or considerations? Candy is very interactive and wants to make sure everyone is comfortable and feels like they are a part of the event.
  • Is there that ONE special (funny) guy who will do the Tango with Candy?
  • If you were me, what would YOU want to know that I couldn’t possibly know about this group/meeting/industry/organization/issue?
  • What are your people complaining about in the hallways and at the water cooler?
  • If you had magic fairy dust what changes would you make to you organization to make it more effective, productive and/or harmonious?
  • What can Candy say as an outsider, that you can’t?
  • How do you want people to feel after the event?

How do we book Candy?

Glad you asked! Simply go to Candy’s Contact  page and fill in all the information. Candy will contact you within 24 hours….not her assistant, not her Mom!…Candy will contact you to set up a phone call to get a true feel of what you are looking for and what you need for your event. Within 24 hours Candy will email a proposal with program options to fit your needs. When all the details of the engagements are agreed upon, a contract is signed and returned with a deposit.

What Audio / Visual needs does Candy have?

The following are Candy’s requirements for audio-visual equipment and room setup:

     Yes Please!

  • Wireless lapel or handheld microphone
  • Something to play a little Tango music (music provided by Candy)
  • Fun and lively audience
  • Flip chart and markers

     No Thank You!

  • Candy does not use a lectern
  • Candy does not use PowerPoint so no screen, no laptop necessary

If we need to look at other details for our event, will Candy hold a date for us?

Candy will hold your date in pencil on her calendar for 30 days. If another client becomes interested in that date, she will contact you first to see if you are ready to sign the contract. No deposit is required to hold dates.

How do travel expenses work?

Most of Candy’s clients prefer the easy flat travel fee that includes everything except for a ride to the venue/hotel, and the hotel itself. Occasionally clients will ask Candy to invoice actual expenses after the event. (Candy travels from Kansas City, MO- or wherever her last event was.)
